ReGrip QUESTIONS

Please reach us at info@gripgods.ca if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Most golfers should re-grip their clubs once per year or every 40-50 rounds to maintain optimal performance.

Yes. Fresh grips improve traction, control, and consistency, often reducing grip pressure and improving ball striking.

Common signs your grips need replacing include:

  • The grip feels slick or slippery
  • The rubber looks shiny or smooth
  • You see cracks or hard spots
  • You feel the need to grip the club tighter

Worn grips can reduce control and consistency in your swing.

Yes. Worn grips often cause golfers to grip the club tighter, which can reduce swing speed and consistency.

Early spring is the best time to replace grips so your clubs are ready for the season.

Grip Fit Questions

Please reach us at info@gripgods.ca if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Midsize grips can help reduce excess hand action and grip pressure, which many golfers find improves consistency.

A grip that is too small can cause too much hand action, often leading to hooks or inconsistent shots.

Oversized grips can limit release through impact, which may cause pushes or fades.

Yes. Many golfers with arthritis prefer midsize or jumbo grips because they reduce grip pressure.

Absolutely. Some golfers prefer different grips on wedges or driver.

Build-up tape is used under the grip to fine-tune grip thickness without changing the grip model.

Club Care Questions

To keep grips tacky:

  • Use warm water and mild dish soap
  • Scrub lightly with a soft brush or cloth
  • Rinse thoroughly
  • Air dry

Cleaning grips every few weeks can significantly extend their life.

Yes. Heat, cold, UV exposure, and age can all cause golf grips to deteriorate over time. This is especially common during Alberta winters, where cold temperatures and dry air can cause rubber grips to lose their natural oils. When that happens, grips may feel hard, slick, or even start to crack by the time spring arrives.

Not necessarily. Many golfers start with their most used clubs (driver, wedges, putter) and replace the rest later.

However, replacing the full set ensures consistent feel across your bag.
